RC FORTY FOUR
Imagine driving a car designed by Formula One legend Michael Schumacher. The RC44 is sailing’s equivalent, the boats are designed by five times America’s Cup winner, Russell Coutts.
Launched in 2007, the RC44 Championship Tour has established itself as one of the most competitive and respected events on the international yacht racing circuit.
The defining spirit of the Tour is bringing together superpowers from the worlds of sailing and global business to enable amateur owners to race alongside the biggest names in the sport. The one-design boats compete at some of the world’s best and most diverse sailing venues around the world.
Although one of most competitive classes on the international yacht racing circuit, the RC44 class is also one of the most friendly and welcoming.
Artemis Racing values the development of new talent and the Artemis Racing Youth Team, is an effort in which that value really shows off. Artemis Racing enters the RC44 circuit with two boats. One is skippered and sailed by the Team Principal Torbjörn Törnqvist and the other team is made up of young Swedish sailors aiming for a future spot on the team entering the America’s Cup.
